Acupuncture Treatment Areas
Acupuncture may be considered for selected symptoms and conditions following a medical evaluation. The suitability, expected benefit and number of sessions vary from patient to patient.
Pain and Migraine
Headache, migraine, neck pain, back pain and other chronic pain complaints may be assessed for acupuncture treatment. Treatment does not replace investigation of newly developed, severe or unexplained pain.
Lumbar Disc Herniation and Sciatica
Acupuncture may be used as part of a conservative treatment plan for pain, muscle spasm and movement restriction associated with lumbar disc problems. Neurological weakness, bladder or bowel symptoms require urgent medical assessment.
Cervical Disc Herniation and Neck Pain
For selected patients, acupuncture may support pain management and reduction of muscular tension. Imaging, neurological examination or specialist consultation may be required depending on the symptoms.
Fibromyalgia
Acupuncture may be considered within a broader plan that includes sleep management, exercise, physical activity and medical follow-up.
Rheumatic Conditions
Acupuncture may help with symptom management in some musculoskeletal and rheumatic conditions. It does not replace disease-modifying treatment prescribed by a rheumatology specialist.
Ankylosing Spondylitis
Treatment may focus on pain, stiffness and functional support. Regular specialist follow-up, exercise and prescribed medication remain essential.
Allergy and Asthma-Related Complaints
Some patients seek acupuncture for allergic rhinitis or respiratory symptoms. Asthma attacks and breathing difficulty require standard medical treatment and, when severe, emergency care.
Sinusitis
Acupuncture may be considered for selected chronic or recurring symptoms after evaluation of possible infection, allergy and structural causes.
Digestive Complaints
Constipation, functional digestive complaints and some chronic bowel symptoms may be evaluated. Persistent bleeding, unexplained weight loss, severe abdominal pain or fever require prompt medical investigation.
Other areas
Depending on the individual case, acupuncture may also be considered for sleep problems, stress-related symptoms, smoking cessation support and rehabilitation. No treatment result can be guaranteed.
